beVault MCP Server

The beVault MCP Server is an official integration that enables AI assistants and automation tools to interact seamlessly with beVault through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This server acts as a bridge between AI-powered applications and your beVault data platform, allowing you to automate data modeling tasks, manage source systems, and create information marts using natural language or programmatic workflows

What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that enables AI assistants to securely connect to external tools and data sources. By implementing MCP, beVault makes it possible for AI agents (like Claude, ChatGPT, or automation platforms like n8n) to interact directly with your data vault infrastructure.

What Can You Do with the beVault MCP Server?

The MCP server provides comprehensive access to three core beVault modules:

  • Search and manage data model entities (Hubs, Links, Satellites, Reference Tables)

  • Create, update, and delete data vault objects

  • Introspect existing models and relationships

📥 Source Module

  • Manage source systems and their metadata

  • Create and configure data packages

  • Define and evolve staging tables with columns

  • Map source columns to target entities

📊 Distribute Module

  • Search and list information marts

  • Create and manage information mart scripts

  • Retrieve full script definitions, including metadata, columns, and sources

  • Automate mart creation and updates

Note: Support for the Verify module is planned for a future release.
