Release Note - beVault 2.1

We are thrilled to announce the release of dataFactory 2.1. With this latest version, we've incorporated exciting new features to enhance the usability and security of the software. We constantly strive to improve your experience and bring more value to your data warehousing needs.

Whatโ€™s new?

๐Ÿ‘ฅ User and Group Management

In the dataFactory 2.1 release, we've added a comprehensive user and group management feature. It provides flexible controls to manage access rights on different projects.

You can assign users to one or more projects, and for each project, you can define specific access rights for each module โ€” including both read and write access.

Furthermore, you can also manage environment-specific access rights to ensure that only authorized users can read the data from an environment or deploy a new version of the data model.

Moreover, we've introduced group management, meaning users can be assigned to a group, and the rights of the group can be managed in the same way as for individual users. This way, you can ease access-right management by creating groups and assigning users to them.

๐Ÿ“‹ New 'Entities' submodule

We've expanded the 'Build' module with a new submodule called 'Entities'. This submodule is designed to simplify the management of hubs, links, and satellites in your data model.

Starting with a comprehensive list of all entities, you can now search for a specific entity or type (hub, link, and/or satellite). For each entity, we've provided useful shortcuts such as the parent of a satellite, the hub references of a link, or the source and data package where the entity is mapped.

We've also included a dynamic tab for each entity where you can manage all their metadata with ease.
